Your Local Domestic Energy Assessor

From December 14th 2007, home owners in England and Wales with 1 or more bedrooms will need a Home Information Pack (HIP) when marketing their property for sale. The Pack includes an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC), containing advice on how to cut carbon emissions and fuel bills. Also included are documents such as a sale statement, searches and evidence of title.

My role as a Domestic Energy Assessor is to produce Energy Performance Certificates for inclusion in Home Information Packs. These certificates will provide A - G ratings on the energy efficiency of a home, plus advise on how to make further energy savings. Energy Assessors require in-depth knowledge and practical understanding of the energy efficiency of properties.
